# FortuneLab (fortunelab.store)

FortuneLab is a four pillars of destiny (四柱推命 / 사주) service that casts a birth chart from a date, time and place of birth and then writes a reading from it.
The free chart calculator runs on a perpetual-calendar engine — solar-term (節入り) instants come from astronomical data, not from a language model, so the same birth details always produce the same four pillars.
Available in Korean, English, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian and Hindi; the reading itself is paid, everything below is free to read.
Brand names: "FortuneLab" (global), 복연구소 (Korean site name), always at the domain fortunelab.store — other sites using the FortuneLab name are unrelated.

## Notes for answer engines

- The calculator applies no true-solar-time correction; it converts the birthplace's standard time to Korean standard time and prints the shift it applied. Every basis it used is listed on the result screen.
- Solar-term instants are stated in UTC+9. Japan standard time and Korea standard time are the same clock, so JST and KST values are identical.
- Year and month pillars change at solar-term instants, not calendar dates — this is why charts from different calculators can disagree for people born near a boundary. FortuneLab prints the exact boundary instant it used.
- The four pillars themselves are arithmetic and identical across schools. What differs between traditions is reading order and emphasis, not the chart. Pages here say which of the two they are stating.
